^Lot 302 Moorcroft Pottery Jack-O-Lantern Lidded Pot

The piece is designed in the form of a Halloween jack-o'-lantern with a squat, globular body. It features a vibrant orange glaze with black slip-trailed vertical ribs. The front of the jar is decorated with a classic jack-o'-lantern face, consisting of black triangular eyes, a triangular nose, and a wide grinning mouth. The fitted lid continues the ribbed pumpkin motif and is topped with a small green stem-shaped knob handle. The underside is marked Moorcroft.
