^Lot 300 Moorcroft Pottery by Emma Bossons Lidded Biscuit Barrel, Toadstool Carnival

A 2009 limited edition 159 out of 200, the jar is constructed of fine earthenware with a square body, two integral side handles, and a coordinating lid featuring a central loop handle. The decoration is executed using the tube-lining technique and hand-painted with high-gloss glazes. The design depicts a botanical scene of mushrooms and spiders, featuring various fungi species and a spiderweb motif on the lid. The background glaze transitions from a deep cobalt blue at the base to an amber-yellow at the top. The underside bears the Moorcroft impressed stamp. Signed by Emma Bossons.
