^Lot 289 Moorcroft Large Pottery Vase, Banded Pomegranate

The vessel features a tapered ovoid form with a short, slightly flared neck. The decoration is executed using the tube-lining technique, where slip-trailed outlines define a central frieze of whole and sliced pomegranates, berries, and foliage. This decorative band is bordered by two cream and green stylized rope. The background and lower portion of the vase are finished in a deep, mottled cobalt blue glaze. The base is marked Moorcroft.
