^Lot 281 Wedgwood Ivory Transferware Landscape Wall Platter from The Rubin Collection

This Wedgwood ivory earthenware charger or platter features a monochromatic transfer-printed landscape scene in sepia tones. The picturesque composition depicts a tranquil riverbank with a small rowboat moored in the foreground. To the right, a rustic cottage is sheltered by tall poplar trees and a mature pine. In the middle distance, a multi-arched bridge crosses the water, set against a backdrop of distant mountains. The reverse of the piece bears the impressed marks WEDGWOOD and IVORY, indicating the manufacturer and the specific earthenware body. The underside also retains several collection markers, including a circular grey sticker for the Rubin Collection and a rectangular white inventory sticker with handwritten notes 10134-2 / C1881 / $575. A partial remnant of an older paper label is located in the center. A wire plate hanger is currently attached to the foot rim.
