^Lot 276 2pc Wedgwood Porcelain Cabinet Plates Retailed by T. Goode and Co.

A pair of English porcelain cabinet plates manufactured by Wedgwood and retailed by the firm T. Goode and Co. Ltd. of London. Each plate features a central hand-painted circular medallion depicting fish in naturalistic aquatic environments, including a leaping trout and a perch. One plate is finished with a rose-pink ground and the other with a lavender ground. Both are decorated with a wide border of raised-paste gold rococo-style scrolls and foliate motifs. The plates have lobed rims with gilded edges. The central paintings are hand-signed by the artist R. Holland. The reverse of each plate bears a green printed mark featuring a crown above the text T. GOODE and CO LTD LONDON WEDGWOOD ENGLAND. Both plates bear a circular silver-tone sticker for the Rubin Collection.
