This 2pc Wedgwood candle holders set is crafted in sage green jasperware, which is a matte, unglazed stoneware ceramic. Each candlestick is modeled in a Neoclassical style as a stylized dolphin with its tail curved upward to support a foliate-form candle nozzle. The figures are mounted on rectangular plinth bases featuring a repeating relief border. The underside of the left base is impressed with the marks MADE IN ENGLAND and WEDGWOOD. The right base is impressed with the mark WEDGWOOD and a faint MADE IN ENGLAND mark. The construction is molded stoneware with a uniform color and original matte surface finish.
