^Lot 251 Wedgwood Sage Green Jasperware Dancing Hours Plaque

This rectangular jasperware stoneware plaque is produced by Wedgwood and features the Dancing Hours motif. The design consists of white relief figures against a sage green ground, depicting five female figures in flowing Grecian-style robes in a rhythmic procession. The decoration is executed using the sprigging technique, where molded relief details are applied to the body before firing. The reverse bears the impressed mark WEDGWOOD and a small, impressed number 3. A circular paper label reading RUBIN COLLECTION is present on the reverse.
