^Lot 245 Wedgwood Blue Jasperware Octagonal Tray

This Wedgwood jasperware tray is crafted from unglazed stoneware featuring a matte cobalt blue ground. The octagonal form is decorated with applied white sprigged relief depicting classical motifs. The central composition features two female figures flanking a tall, stylized foliate ornament; the figure on the right is depicted as Diana the Huntress with a bow and a small stag. The scene is enclosed within a decorative border of oak leaves and acorns. The underside of the tray bears the impressed maker mark WEDGWOOD. Additionally, the piece retains a circular paper collection label that reads RUBIN COLLECTION.
