^Lot 244 Wedgwood Pale Blue Jasperware Double Handle Covered Urn with Lid

This Wedgwood pale blue Jasperware double handle covered urn with lid is a matte-finish stoneware vessel featuring sprigged bas-relief decoration in white over a light blue ground. The ovoid body is decorated with various neoclassical figures in classical attire, positioned below floral swags and garlands suspended from oval medallions. The neck, lid base, foot, and square plinth are embellished with traditional leaf, bud, and geometric borders. The piece is supported by two white handles and a central finial on the lid. The underside of the square base is impressed with the mark WEDGWOOD over MADE IN ENGLAND, along with the numbers 90 and the letters DB. The urn is assembled with a central metal rod and nut visible from the base. This item is accompanied by its original navy blue Wedgwood presentation box.
