Lot 213 Royal Doulton by Anthony Cartlidge Unique Prototype Two-Sided Teapot, Dracula & Helsing, American Mu
One side of the body depicts Abraham Van Helsing, dressed in a brown suit and cloak and holding a silver-colored cross. The reverse depicts Count Dracula in a formal black tuxedo with a red lined cloak and visible fangs. The spout is molded in the form of a gray stone castle battlement, and the handle is shaped as a gnarled, mossy tree branch with a skull at its base. The removable lid takes the form of a double-sided head corresponding to the characters on the body. The base bears the Royal Doulton backstamp, along with a provenance sticker from the American Toby Jug Museum. The American Toby Jug Museum business card detailing the piece is included.
