^Lot 189 2pc Royal Doulton Guinness 250th Anniversary Clock and Badge, Guinness Time MCL26

The limited edition mantel clock is hand made and hand decorated by Shane Ridge. The porcelain clock features modeled figures of various zoo animals with a zookeeper arranged before the Guinness harp logo, including the Toucan and tortoise characters from Guinness advertising campaigns designed by John Gilroy in the 1930s. The base is inscribed "Guinness Time" and marked with the Royal Doulton backstamp and edition details. The lot includes a matching metal and enamel badge with the same design. Both items are accompanied by certificates of authenticity.
