Royal Doulton ceramic figurine titled The Tailor, model number HN2174. This item is constructed of polychrome glazed ceramic and depicts a seated male figure engaged in his craft. The figure is modeled with gray hair tied in a ponytail with a red bow, wearing a pale yellow shirt, a deep brown waistcoat, and purple trousers decorated with red buttons. The figure is positioned on a naturalistic base alongside a roll of green fabric and a spool of thread. The underside of the base displays a green printed factory mark featuring a lion standing on a crown above the words Royal Doulton and England, surrounding a circular monogram of four interlocking D characters. The words Made in England are arched above the lion. An impressed model number is also located on the underside.
