^Lot 179 Doulton Burslem by Charles Noke Vellum Figurine, Oh! Law

The figure is double-sided and constructed of ivory-colored ceramic with a vellum glaze finish. One side depicts a judge in a full-bottomed wig, bent forward with hands tucked into the sleeves, with the base incised with the phrase "OH! LAW." The reverse side depicts a young woman with a serene expression, styled with voluminous hair and wearing a dress with a prominent ruffled collar and pleated skirt. The underside of the hollow base bears the Doulton Burslem mark.
