^Lot 168 Michael Sutty Fine China Bust, Napoleon Bonaparte 1815

This Michael Sutty porcelain portrait bust depicts Napoleon Bonaparte as he appeared in 1815. The figure is rendered in polychrome glazes, wearing a green military tunic with a red collar and a red sash draped across the chest. The uniform is detailed with gold-toned fringed epaulettes and several military honors, including the Legion d'honneur. The bust is mounted on a stepped, circular pedestal base finished in a high-gloss black glaze with a single gilt band. The underside of the base features a circular printed factory mark with the text Michael Sutty Fine China and a central graphic of a sword passing through a coronet. Production marks include the printed text Sculpted by Michael Sutty and Hand Made in England. The piece is hand-inscribed in black ink as Sculpture No. 42 in a limited edition of 250 and bears a handwritten signature attributed to Michael Sutty. The title Napoleon Bonaparte 1815 is printed in black block letters on the base.
