^Lot 142 Meissen Porcelain Child Figurine, Girl Gardener with Basket

This Meissen porcelain figurine is from the Gardener's Children series and depicts a young girl in 18th-century style attire. The piece is crafted from glazed porcelain featuring overglaze polychrome hand-painted decoration and gilt accents. The girl is shown standing on a square base, wearing a wide-brimmed pink hat with an orange ribbon, a pink bodice, a pale yellow apron, and a skirt with vertical purple stripes and blue floral patterns. She holds a small basket in her right hand containing white ovoid objects. A sculpted sack is positioned at her feet. The underside of the base bears the underglaze blue crossed swords mark of Meissen. A red-painted decorator mark 10 and faint impressed characters are also present on the underside.
