This limited edition, large Lladro porcelain figurine depicts the Shakespearean character Hamlet in a contemplative pose. The figure is shown seated upon a ruined stone wall accented with small floral details, holding a human skull in a representation of the graveyard scene from Act V. The character is dressed in late 16th-century style attire, featuring a brown fur-trimmed tunic, a gold-tone chain, a ruff collar, and gray tights. The piece is executed in a glazed finish with a muted palette of grays, browns, tans, and cream. The underside of the base bears the blue stamped Lladro bell logo and the words Hand Made in Spain. Additional markings on the base include the handwritten model reference N-741 of 750. The figurine is hand-signed in black ink by the sculptor S. Furio (Salvador Furio) and the decorator Ana Martinez.
