^Lot 76 Gray's Pottery Staffordshire Fox Figurine with Equestrian Hat and Whip

A Gray's Pottery Staffordshire glazed ceramic figurine depicting an anthropomorphic fox in traditional British fox hunting attire. The figure is modeled standing on a circular green-glazed base. The fox is depicted wearing an orange-red hunting coat with yellow buttons and black lapels, white breeches, and black riding boots with brown tops. The figure holds a black equestrian hat under the left arm and a riding crop in the right hand. A long, bushy tail with a white tip extends down the back to the base. The underside of the base bears the mark GRAYS in blue and STAFFORDSHIRE ENGLAND in black. Two circular firing holes are present in the base, which are part of the original manufacturing process.
