^Lot 74 Fox Head Bone China Stirrup Cup with Floral Accents

This ceramic stirrup cup is constructed of bone china and features a terminal modeled as a fox head surmounting a flared, bell-shaped body. The fox head is hand-painted with realistic fur tones in orange and brown, accented with black on the ears, eyes, nose, and collar. The lower portion of the body is decorated with a transfer-printed and enameled border. This border consists of a blue scrollwork pattern set against a pale blue ground, interspersed with polychrome cartouches depicting baskets of flowers. The rim is finished with a black-and-white checkered edge. The interior of the cup is finished in a plain white glaze.
