^Lot 50 Royal Doulton Prototype Jade Glazed Figure, Rooster

This ceramic figurine depicts a stylized standing rooster, identified as a Royal Doulton prototype. The bird is modeled in an upright posture with a prominent comb, wattles, and a flowing, curled tail, set upon an integral rocky-textured base. The piece features a high-gloss marbled glaze in white, blue, and yellow colors. The underside of the base bears a black transfer mark with the word PROTOTYPE arching over a circular seal containing the words ROYAL DOULTON ENGLAND and MADE IN ENGLAND, topped with a crown. The word ONLY arches underneath the central mark. An incised number 99 is also present on the underside of the base.
