This dish features a graphic illustration by artist David Henry Souter depicting a black and white cat positioned atop a table while observing a fractured ceramic jug on the floor. The composition includes the scripted inscription, "God bless the cat that breaks the crocks in pieces very small, for things like that are good for trade and benefit us all," alongside a secondary commercial inscription for "Williams for reliable Glass & China Richdale & Worthington."
