^Lot 29 Cobridge Stoneware Large Fish Sculpture

This large Cobridge stoneware sculptural group depicts two predatory fish swimming through aquatic reeds over a riverbed of smooth stones. The piece features high-relief modeling on the fish scales, fins, and foliage, finished with multi-toned reactive glazes in shades of blue, green, ochre, and brown. The base is modeled as a cluster of polished river rocks. The underside of the base bears a circular backstamp with the text COBRIDGE MADE IN STOKE-ON-TRENT ENGLAND, accompanied by the factory squirrel logo and hand-painted initials LB.
