^Lot 25 Royal Doulton Experimental Flambe Figurine, Mouse on Cube HN255

Designed by Charles Noke, the figure depicts a mouse positioned atop a rectangular block base. The piece is finished in the characteristic flambe glaze, displaying a deep oxblood red color with dark blue and black mottling and a high-gloss surface. The dark blue and black mottling finish is what makes the glaze experimental. The rodent is depicted in a hunched pose, with its tail wrapped around the corner of the plinth. The underside is marked Royal Doulton Flambe.
