^Lot 342 Kevin Francis Ceramics Toby Jug, The Fisherman

This polychrome glazed ceramic character jug, titled The Fisherman, was produced by Kevin Francis Ceramics. The piece was modeled by Geoff Blower and is handmade and hand-painted in Staffordshire, England. The jug depicts a seated figure in a blue jacket and a white-and-blue hat holding a large yellow fish across his lap. The figure is seated upon a woven basket next to a box marked BAIT and a red thermos. The handle is composed of a green and yellow botanical element and a fishing net. The underside of the base features a blue transfer-print mark identifying the maker, the modeler, and the limited-edition status. This specific piece is numbered 46 from a limited edition of 500.
