^Lot 334 Royal Doulton Star-Crossed Lovers Double-Face Character Jug, King Arthur & Guinevere D6836

This double-sided vessel features two faces, with Guinevere on one side depicted in a white wimple and blue-jeweled headdress, and King Arthur on the reverse shown in gray armor and a gold crown set with red jewels. The handle is intricately modeled as the sword Excalibur set against a golden chalice representing the Holy Grail. The piece is finished with a vibrant polychrome hand-painted underglaze. The base features the Royal Doulton backstamp.
