Lot 257 Two Zaphir and Nadal Spanish Polychrome Glazed Porcelain Figurines

This lot consists of 2 figurines made of polychrome glazed porcelain in the style of late 20th century Spanish ceramic artistry. The first figurine is a Zaphir porcelain figure of a young woman in a long peach-colored dress and a white bonnet, carrying a small white basket. Zaphir is a brand associated with the Lladro group. The underside of the base features a dark green script mark for Zaphir, the words Hand Made in Spain, and incised marks including a 6, an A, and an E. The second figurine is a Nadal porcelain figure of a Rabbi with a long white beard, wearing a gray hat and a blue-gray overcoat, holding a brown book. This piece is similar in style to the work of Nao by Lladro. The underside of the circular base bears a blue printed mark with a crown symbol, the word Nadal, and Handcrafted Spanish Porcelain. It also includes an incised JE and a handwritten 4A in red ink.
