^Lot 197 Fitz and Floyd Mallard Duck Ceramic Tureen, Autumn Woods

This is a two-piece glazed ceramic tureen produced by Fitz and Floyd as part of the Autumn Woods collection. The vessel is modeled in the form of a mallard duck with a removable lid that forms the upper back and tail section. The lid features a sculpted finial composed of a cluster of purple grapes and a multi-colored autumn leaf. The exterior is molded with textured feather details and hand-painted in a naturalistic palette including an iridescent green head, white neck ring, yellow bill, and various shades of brown, orange, and tan plumage. The interior and base are finished with a white glaze. The underside of the base bears a black printed mark that reads FITZ AND FLOYD, Autumn Woods, © FF, HAND PAINTED, CHINA.
