^Lot 141 FM Marcolin Sommerso Art Crystal Figural Sailboat Sculpture

A large modernist art glass sculpture produced by FM Marcolin (Färe-Marcolin Konstglas) in Ronneby, Sweden. This hand-blown piece is designed utilizing the traditional sommerso technique to submerge a core of deep maroon or ruby red glass within a thick casing of clear full lead crystal containing over 24% PbO. The sculpture features an elegantly tapered spire rising from a heavy, triangular base. The piece is hand-signed Marcolin Sweden on the base with an accompanying model number and retains its original silver foil manufacturer's label.
