Lot 105 Three Goebel M.I. Hummel Winter Figurines and Scenic Display Base including A Letter to Santa Claus

A trio of hand-painted Goebel ceramic items consisting of two M.I. Hummel figurines and a coordinating scenic display base. The first figurine is titled A Letter to Santa Claus, model Hum 340, depicting a boy in a green coat and blue striped hat reaching up to a mailbox. The side of the base is printed with the title, and the underside features the Goebel blue crown-and-bee trademark, a W. Germany mark, and incised model number 340. The second figurine is titled All Bundled Up, also known as Winterzeit, featuring a girl in an orange coat and green hat. The side of the base is printed with the title, and the underside bears the M.I. Hummel cursive signature, the Goebel backstamp, and hand-painted initials LL and 06. The collection includes a Winter Magic scenic display base, marked Goebel 2004 and Mark number 1114-D, which features snow-covered trees, a stone wall, a mailbox, and a sled with red cardinals. The word Winter is inscribed on the front of this base.
