^Lot 104 A Pair of Goebel Hummel Ceramic Candle Holders Models 115 and 116

A pair of hand-painted ceramic candle holders produced by Goebel featuring motifs by M.I. Hummel. The first figurine, model 116, depicts a young girl wearing a red headscarf, brown bodice, and blue patterned skirt holding a bouquet of flowers beside a lamb. The second figurine, model 115, depicts a young boy in a brown hat and blue jacket seated on a wooden fence with a small yellow bird. Both figures are modeled against a tree trunk that serves as a hollow candle socket. The base of each figurine bears the stamped blue Goebel factory mark featuring a stylized V with a bee and the text W. Germany. The girl figurine is incised with model number 116 and hand-painted 10/90. The boy figurine is incised with model number 115 and hand-painted 10/89. Both pieces feature a matte finish.
