^Lot 101 Goebel Hummel Brave Voyager Figurine HUM 796/I

This hand-painted ceramic figurine, titled Brave Voyager, was produced by Goebel as an exclusive edition for the M. I. Hummel Club. The piece depicts a young boy with blonde hair wearing a green coat and an orange satchel, seated in a boat with a dragon-head prow. He is shown blowing a long yellow horn while holding two oars. A small yellow bird is perched on the stern. The boat features decorative blue and white patterns along the gunwale. The side of the boat bears an incised M. I. Hummel signature along with two blue printed labels reading Brave voyager and ins neue Jahr viel Glück und Sonnenschein. The underside of the base features a blue printed circular mark for the M. I. Hummel Club Exclusive Edition 2008/2009, a Goebel Germany trademark with a stylized V and bumblebee, and a small blue handwritten mark reading hi. The figurine is constructed from a combination of glazed and bisque ceramic.
