Lot 89 Goebel M.I. Hummel Chapel Time Porcelain Mantel Clock, Late 20th Century

This hand-painted porcelain figurative mantel clock was produced by Goebel as part of the M.I. Hummel collection, specifically the Chapel Time model. The case is designed as a traditional alpine chapel featuring a textured orange-tiled roof and a distinctive onion-dome steeple. The decorative scene includes a young girl in traditional dress standing near the entrance, accented by a pine tree with a small bird and colorful floral details. The integrated circular white dial features black printed Roman numerals and black metal hour and minute hands with a gold-toned center nut. The underside of the base bears the Goebel West Germany backstamp, the M.I. Hummel signature, and the The love lives on trademark. The piece was originally designed for a small quartz movement and does not include a chime mechanism. Dimensions: Approximately 11 inches height.
