^Lot 43 Hollohaza Porcelain Borzoi Dog Figurine

This porcelain figurine depicts a seated Borzoi dog, also known as a Russian Wolfhound. The piece is constructed of glazed porcelain with hand-painted polychrome decoration in shades of white and apricot. The dog is modeled in a naturalistic upright pose with its head turned slightly and mouth agape. The underside of the base features a green underglaze factory mark consisting of a stylized evergreen tree within a circular Hollohaza stamp. Additional markings include Hungary, the model number 4834, the number 11, and the phrase Kézzel Festett, indicating the piece was hand-painted.
