This four-piece glazed porcelain figurine set depicts an elderly fisherman with baskets and a fish. The central figure is modeled with a white beard and a wide-brimmed conical hat, dressed in a traditional robe and short trousers. The figure is decorated in a classic underglaze blue and white palette with extensive gilded highlights on the robe edges, hat, and baskets. The fisherman carries a curved blue-glazed yoke across his shoulders. The set includes two separate basket accessories featuring mottled blue sponged decoration and gilt-painted rims. A small dark-colored fish with a gold-tone wire is also included. This item is consistent with 20th-century decorative export porcelain produced in the Chinoiserie style.
