Item/Description: Antique Sterling Silver snuff box by luxury English silver company, Mappin & Webb. Round cushion like snuff box tobacco expertly crafted in Sterling Silver with gilt wash interior. Lid pops open when box is squeezed gently. Hallmarked twice: Mappin & Webb Ltd. ; anchor ( ity of Birmingham), lion passant (Sterling assay); letter u (1919-1920).

Condition: Very Good. Hinged spring mechanism in good working order. Signs of age, use, and wear scratches, scuffs, and shallow dent. Lid occasionally does not open spontaneously.
