Item/Description: Antique Georg Jensen Sterling Silver footed blossom compote bowl 17 series. Designed by Jensen's prolific master silversmith, Johan Rohde (1865-1935). A fusion of Art Nouveau and Art Deco styles, this Sterling pedestal bowl has a bell-shaped, smooth bowl with hand-hammered surface. The stem is vine like with stylized leaves and silver balls resembling berries. Organic. Hallmarked: Dessin, Johan Rohde's maker's logo, Georg Jensen, Denmark, Sterling.

Condition: Very Good. Stands firmly. Signs of age, use, and wear including shallow dent to rim, scratches, scuffs, patina, and tarnish. Piece has not been polished or cleaned.
