Lot 95 Korean Buncheong-Style Stoneware Dish

Item/Description: Buncheong-style circular stoneware dish featuring the distinctive stamped and slip-filled decoration. Interior embellished with an intricate border of stylized interlocking scrolls and geometric motifs, centered by a singular stamped medallion. The vessel displays a rustic, "wabi-sabi" aesthetic with visible iron-brown spots, surface pitting, and an exposed, coarse foot ring. Base marked in modern Hangul. Modern potters often revive the Buncheong techniques to create gifts for weddings, anniversaries, or special events. These pieces frequently include congratulatory text that was never a part of the original Joseon tradition.
