Item/Description: A matching pair of Chinese export porcelain candlesticks of flared trumpet form. Qing Dynasty, circa late 19th or early 20th century. Hand-painted in the vibrant Rose Medallion palette of pink, green, and gold enamels, featuring alternating figural and floral reserves depicting figural genre scenes and birds amongst blossoming peonies. Neck accented with a traditional "Greek key" fret band, while the everted rims and bases are highlighted with gold gilt. Number marks on base.
