Belgium made 'Grade I,' a gas operated semi-automatic sporting rifle chambered for .270 Winchester, manufactured circa 1979 by Fabrique Nationale. Rifle features a high polish blued finish, 22" tapered round barrel, seven lug rotary bolt, checkered ramped blade front sight with brass bead, fully adjustable 'U' notched rear sight, receiver drilled and tapped for optic mounting, smooth curved trigger, aluminum trigger guard, annular cut cross-bolt manual safety, no bolt release, hinged floorplate with detachable three-round magazine, and serrated sliding magazine release. The high-gloss walnut furniture consists of a semi-pistol gripped shoulder stock with checkering at the wrist, swivel studs on the shoulder stock and forend, checkered walnut forend, and black factory hard rubber butt plate. This BAR has a Redfield LO-PRO 3-9x rifle scope with a duplex reticle, and it is mounted using a Redfield single-piece mount. Rifle retains approximately 98% of its original blued finish showing superficial scratches, and a couple of blemishes on the right side of the receiver. Metal displays no rust, or deformation. The action is smooth and crisp, and the bore is bright with strong rifling. The walnut furniture is good to very good with scratches and dents mostly on the shoulder stock. The scope's sight picture is bright and clear with the slightest of yellowing. Rifle includes a brown leather sling.
