1800/79 S-193 R4 Overdate 80 over 79, Style II Hair VG10Five points sharper with several small rim bruises on both sides and a pit at the rim over ES in STATES. Otherwise the surfaces are smooth with only trivial marks and the toning is an attractive glossy light olive brown and steel. Semi-unique terminal die state, Breen state V, with a cud break connecting the denominator to the rim below. This is the Noyes plate coin for the die state and is graded F12 net VG7 in his census, photo #26102. The only other piece known to us is a corroded VF20 sharpness net VG8 (Daniel Holmes sale, McCawley & Grellman Auctions/Goldbergs 9/7/2009:362).
