1804 C-5 R-4 Spiked Chin EF405 points sharper but there are a few light pinscratches in the field before the neck and several more behind the lowest curls. All the scratches are old and blend in well. Very attractive glossy chocolate brown with underlying frosty luster showing in the protected areas. Smooth surfaces. M-LDS, Manley state 5.0, the bisecting die crack on the reverse is strong and another crack reaches from the base of the O in OF down through the leaves to the bsiecting crack above LF. Tied for CC#8 in the Mike Spurlock census, CC#11 in the Jim McGuigan list, and #7 in the Breen census. Noyes photo #73667. 81.3 grains. Comes with a nice provenance.
