Lot 100 1837 N-15 R3 Plain Hair Cord, Medium Letters, NGC graded MS63 Brown
1837 N-15 R3 Plain Hair Cord, Medium Letters, NGC graded MS63 BrownGlossy uniform chocolate brown with overtones of bluish steel in protected areas. Frosty mint luster covers the fields and the eye appeal is excellent. A tiny diagonal nick right of the D in UNITED is the best identifying mark. MDS, die state c, with a second die crack up from the top of the R in AMERICA and one from the top of that C. Thin rim cud breaks show at star 8, star 9, and from just below star 11 to star 12. Called MS60 and tied for CC#1 in the Noyes census, his photo #20772. Bland says AU55 and tied for CC#3. Both agree there are only 2 mint state examples, they just disagree on which ones are really mint state. Our grade is MS60.Certificate Number: 3186290-002Pedigree: Ex Robert J.
