1835 N-5 R2 Head of 1834, Small 8 & Stars, PCGS graded MS64 Red & BrownChoice lustrous mint red fading to steel brown and olive on the highpoints with at least half of the original mint color remaining. Nearly flawless with satiny surfaces and superior eye appeal. The best identifying marks, and it takes a glass to see them, are a tiny planchet flake on the bust over the 1, a thin vertical struck-through line at the top of the E in CENT, and a tiny spot of darker toning (not carbon) at the left top of the F in OF. MDS with fine radial die flowlines in the obverse fields. The line at the bottom of the 835 is clear. Not listed in the Noyes census. Our grade is MS64, finest known in our census; clearly superior to the finest listed in the Noyes census.
