Chinese Hanyang 88 Bolt Action Carbine, #49781, 8x57mm cal., 18.25'' barrel, blued finish, straight grip hardwood stock, blade front sight with protectors, and adjustable folding leaf rear sight with ''U'' notch, graduated to 1200 meters. The only markings on the receiver are the serial number. Right side of the buttstock is stamped with two sets of large Chinese characters. Numbers do not match. Condition overall is poor, showing cleaning to the metal, and several areas of considerable erosion to the receiver and barrel jacket. Stock is cracked at the top of the wrist and right side near the recoil bolt. Additionally, there are chips to the left edge of the forend, dents and scratches throughout. Action functions well. Bore is dark, with areas of erosion, and the rifling is barely visible. Est.: $100-$200. (Antique)
