Remington Model 1902 Vintage 16 ga Single Shot Shotgun - Made in USA

Unusual Side Cocking Lever is on left side of gun. This lever is depressed in order to cock the
internal hammer.
Remington Arms Co. made two slightly different side-cocking single barrel break open shotguns.
The earlier gun was the Model 1893, also known as the No. 3.

In 1902 Remington Arms Co. introduced a new similar single barrel the Model 1902, also known as
the No. 9, in 12- and 16-gauges, which took down by means of a removable hinge pin.

The shotgun features a blued steel barrel and receiver with solid walnut hardwood stocks.

The barrel is marked on the top Remington Arms Co. Ilion, N.Y. U.S.A. The underside of the barrel is
marked 16 GA. The lower tang is marked 159066.
The shotgun shows fair overall condition. It measures 43.5 inch with a 28 inch barrel.
