^Lot 1681 Savage Model 1903 .22 S/L/LR #1670

Slide action magazine-fed repeating rifle chambered in .22 caliber, circa 1903-1906. Manufactured by Savage Arms Co. from Utica, NY. It features a fully blued finish, 24" octagonal barrel, post/bead front sight, sporting rear sight, take-down receiver, smooth curved trigger, safety switch on tang, folding tang peep sight, 10 rd savage marked magazine, grooved pump handle, plain rounded pistol grip walnut stock and metal crescent buttplate. Blued finish is about 30% with some rust on the buttplate, and patina on the barrel and receiver. There is minimal edge wear, and handling wear mostly on the receiver. Markings are good, action is smooth, bore is bright with good rifling, and wood is very good.
