Lot 1436 WWI Bavarian Artillery Sword.
Original WWI Bavarian Artillery Sword, 30 1/2" blade, "Dove Head" pommel, round guard. Ricasso marked with two back-to-back squirrels indicating the manufacturer Carl Eickhorn of Solingen. Both sides of the blade etched with panels depicting oak trees, the Bavarian Coat of Arms with rampant Lion and Shield and " In Treue Fest", (Steadfast in Loyalty). Shows age & wear, grip is intact, no nicks to the blade. No dents to the scabbard.
