^Lot 1396 Fininsh / CAI Model 1891 'Mosin Nagant' 7.62x54R #

Finnish military bolt action service rifle chambered in 7.62x54R. Manufacture date is hard to determine because these were reconfigured by the Finnish military as late as 1944 and this rifle has no obvious date codes. Features a blued finish, 31.6" barrel marked with [SA] & "SIG" stamp, inverted 'V' front sight, konovalov (ladder) style rear sight graduated to 1200 meters, 5 round internal box magazine, hex receiver, sling swivels, cleaning rod, smooth curved two-stage trigger, straight bolt handle, smooth wood handguard, and full length straight grip two piece shoulder stock with flat metal buttplate. Matching serial numbers on barrel, & bolt. Two sets of serial numbers were scratched out on the receiver. Small import marks are fount on the barrel near the muzzle, CAI St. Albans VT. Rifle retains approximately 90% of it's blued finish overall with scattered small rust spots on the magazine, receiver, and barrel. A small amount of wear near the muzzle. Action performs well, bore condition is hard to determine because it is full of cosmoline, and wood stocks are very good with two dings under the bolt with a few minor blemishes.
