^Lot 1336 Japanese Police Short Sword.

Style 1 Japanese Police Bureau short Sword for Patrolmen (junsa) and Sergeants (junsa-bucho). Believe pre-war. 22 " blade, wire wrapped ray skin grip, spring loaded scabbard latch, five-ray Police emblem on back strap correct leather knot, (Broken) One loop steel scabbard. The sword is complete but dirty, improperly stored. The sword does not seat all the way in the scabbard due to dents, some white paint on the ray grip, some scattered rust on the blade. Needs some restoration.
