Lot 1244 Egyptian Ministry of Military / Samco Hakim 8mm #4

Egyptian military gas impingement semi-automatic service rifle based on the Swedish "Ljungman" chambered in 7.92x57mm Mauser, manufactured by Maadi circa 1950's. Imported by SAMCO of Miami, F.L. with importer marks on the barrel and receiver. Features a blued finish, 24" barrel with integral compensator, hooded post front sight, tangent rear sight graduated to 1000 meters, bayonet lug, adjustable gas valve, detachable 10 round magazine, smooth curved trigger, manual safety, sling swivels, smooth wood handguard and a semi-pistol grip shoulder stock with smooth metal buttplate. Rifle exhibits approximately 85% of it's blued finish showing minor handling/edge wear, and bolt turning a little plum. Action is strong, bore very good, strong rifling, and wood stocks are good with mild blemishes and Egyptian trench art. Produced 1950's-1960's. Arsenal refinished.
