Bolt-Action military rifle manufactured in Sweden by Carl Gustafs Stads Gevarsfaktori, marked on receiver ring, dated 1905. Long rifle chambered in 6.5x55mm Swedish. Imported by Sarco of Stirling, NJ. with import marks on the underside of the barrel. Features a blued finish, 29" barrel, dovetailed partridge blade front sight, flip-up ladder rear sight, bayonet lug, cleaning rod, smooth curved trigger, polished in-the-white bolt with straight handle & three position safety on the rear, 5 round internal box magazine, smooth wood handguard, finger grooved forend, and full-length straight grip shoulder stock with brass Torped Overslag stock disc, and smooth metal buttplate. Matching serial numbers (167) are found on the receiver, bolt knob, bolt sleeve, cocking piece, safety lever, rear slight leaf, floor plate, rear sight slider, bolt release, both barrel bands, and buttplate. The stock disk is marked #2 barrel condition and '0' holdover. Rifle retains approximately 80% blue with dulling/edge wear,with spotty rust in front of the front barrel band, trigger guard, and cleaning rod. The rifle has minor scratches/scuffs on surface finish, and the buttplate is in-the-white. Action is smooth, the bore is bright with strong rifling. Wood stocks are good with normal handling blemishes.
